Cookies Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
Ocean Shipping uses a deliberately small set of cookies and browser storage — small enough that this page can list every single one and say plainly what it does. No advertising networks, no cross-site trackers, no consent-banner theatre: just the minimum a shop needs to remember your cart and keep you signed in.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you between pages and visits — for example, staying signed in as you move from the shop to the checkout. Browsers also offer “local storage”, a related mechanism that keeps data on your own device without sending it to the server on every request. We use both, sparingly, as described below.
Why we use them
Two reasons only: so your cart survives while you browse and compare units, and so an optional account session stays signed in. Nothing here exists to profile you, follow you to other websites or measure you for advertisers.
What we use
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in to your account (essential; HttpOnly — not readable by page scripts). |
|---|---|
| Cart storage | Remembers your cart contents in your own browser’s local storage — the list never leaves your device until you check out. |
Third-party cookies
None. This website does not embed advertising pixels, social-media widgets or third-party analytics scripts, so no third party sets cookies through it.
How long they remain
The session cookie lasts for the life of your signed-in session and is removed when you sign out or it expires. Cart storage persists in your browser until you complete an order, clear it yourself, or clear your browser data — handy for a purchase you’re still thinking over.
What we don’t do
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No sale of browsing data to third parties.
- No fingerprinting or behavioural profiling.
If analytics cookies are introduced later, this page will be updated first and consent handled appropriately.
Your control
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; every mainstream browser offers per-site controls. The essential session cookie is only set when you sign in, and the site works fully as a guest — browsing, quoting and checkout included. Blocking local storage simply means your cart won’t persist between visits.
Do Not Track
Because we don’t track visitors across sites in the first place, there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off — the site already behaves the way DNT asks.
Updates to this policy
Any change to what this site stores in your browser will be reflected on this page before it ships, with the date at the top updated.
