Portable First Aid Rooms
In any business or industry, injury or illness can strike a worker, requiring instant medical care in first aid rooms. However, it’s safe to say that mining, construction, agriculture, manufacturing, and other industrial services carry a higher risk factor than most. Despite rigorous occupational health and safety regulations and the best efforts to ensure a safe workplace, accidents can and do happen, making first aid rooms an essential requirement. On many worksites, it is actually mandated by law.
Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, a first aid room must be provided and maintained at any construction site where more than 100 persons work or at any other workplace where more than 200 persons work. Other workplaces not covered by this provision of the regulation may still have circumstances that require a first aid room.
Fully Equipped and Ready to Go
Our portable first aid rooms are available in 20-foot and 40-foot options, equipped with lighting and power, reverse cycle air conditioning, an examination couch, sink, desk, chair, fridge, and hot water system. They also feature high-quality medical supplies and emergency equipment, including an automated external defibrillator, eyewash station, oxygen mask, scoop stretcher, fire extinguisher, and fire blanket.
A transportable first aid room offers numerous benefits as it can be on hand from day one to ensure that your worksite is always prepared for the worst. It can also be moved around on large sites to ensure it is close to the action and ready for any emergency situation.
First Aid Rooms for Festivals, Roadshows, and Farms
Though initially conceived for construction and mining sites, a portable shipping container first aid room can be used anywhere a first aid room is required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Music festivals, markets, outdoor concerts, rallies, trade exhibitions, traveling roadshows—these can all benefit from a portable first aid room. Even permanent sites where portability is not necessarily required, like farms and caravan sites, can benefit from the utility of a well-stocked, compact, and fully equipped first aid room.
